Hilarious but not necessarily for teens

My teens have seen Ali Wongs Netflix specials. We all think she’s hilarious. So I brought my teens to the Boston performance at the Wang Center. The venue is beautiful. We didn’t mind having our phones locked up. The opening act was hilarious. Ali Wong’s performance starts off pretty on par, explicitly, as Eddie Murphy’s Raw. I thought she was hilarious. As a 45-year-old I could absolutely appreciate the graphic descriptions and humor. My teens, however, couldn’t. It was awkward for them and they just didn’t find the sexual descriptions and jokes funny. We ended up leaving early, which was totally fine with me because I was hoping for a routine we could all appreciate. If you’re attending with adults, you should be fine. If you’re attending with your mid-teens kiddos, you may want to check your comfort level. I’d absolutely go see her again with my adult friends.
